Mark bolted this route a few weeks after Logan was born, and yesterday he sent it! Its Shelf's First 5.14. The story was written up in a couple online climbing magazines:
Shelf Road's First 5.14: Rock and Ice
Shelf Road’s First 5.14, An Interview With Mark Anderson : Splitter Choss

Any 5.14 is a special send, but this one was particularly meaningful because it was Mark's own route, and because he did it with Logan there. We knew Logan would change our life, but we weren't sure how he would change climbing for us. We knew you could climb with kids-- we just weren't sure we would still want to, with all the extra gear required and all the extra crying. In fact, it was kind of a prerequisite for Mark that he climb 5.14 before we had a baby. So, this was a small victory. Of course, I realize this is the easiest time, when he's pretty happy sitting in his bouncy chair. We'll see how we're doing six months from now when he wants to crawl off a cliff.
