Amelie is 5

At 5, Amelie is a mini-Kendall. She's strong and sassy and stubborn and exactly what I'd want a little girl to be. She loves her babies and animals, and plans to have somewhere between 2 and 8 babies when she grows up named Lucy, Lily, Julia, and... I forget the rest. She has a big imagination, loves being outside, and does not like taking lessons because she hates being told what to do.  She loves rocks and dinosaurs, and is a little hoarder with a room overflowing with stuff. She's a mini-fashionista who dresses herself in the vein of Fancy Nancy.  She loves her family and friends and plans her birthday parties a year in advance with a running invitation tally in her head. Her besties are Reese and Olivia.

Daddy got her a tire swing for her birthday

Dolomites

We'd been dreaming of going to the Dolomites for years. We finally made it this spring, and it definitely lived up to our expectations.
We stopped in Venice for a day on our way in and took a gondola ride. Venice was gorgeous but much more crowded than I remembered.

Our first via ferrata

We had a longer approach hike than expected due to some mis-navigation by Google maps (they wanted us to drive up a ski slope), but we made it to the top

Mini alpinists

Lake Sopris. The long hike in was well worth it.
