Logan is 7!

There's a commercial on TV about how the nights are long but the years are short. We're feeling that lately. It's hard to believe Logan is 7 already. I'm told the years of 7-10 are the golden years, when kids are old enough to do all the activities you want to do, and young enough to still want to do them with you. It does seem like that-- Logan can keep up with us on hikes (if he so chooses), likes adventures like via ferratas and rapelling, and is becoming a good little gym climber. He loves skiing with Uncle Andrew, playing Minecraft (and watching endless YouTube videos of other people playing Minecraft), watching all the Star Wars and Avengers movies with Mark, and having imaginary light saber battles. He's reading the How to Train Your Dragon and Harry Potter books. He's pretty easy going and friendly, but getting more shy. He loves playing pretend and is always happiest hanging out at home.  He still likes cuddling with Mom for now.  His buddies are Axel, Trevor, Remy, Ethan, and Jac.

Sicily Plan B

We were supposed to go to Sicily after Christmas this year, but due to a passport issue we didn't make it. Plan B was St. George, UT. Fortunately we love St. George, so it was a pretty good backup.  Plus, Mike, Janelle, Lucas and Axel were there.  Logan said his favorite part of the trip was seeing Axel, and Amelie's favorite part was seeing Aunt Janelle, so maybe it was even better than Italy!

Walking through a frozen slot canyon.  Much easier than swimming!

Angel's Landing

10 years later! We're pretty lucky.
